Penang Hill Climb 2011

This year i joined with Wong,while last year its me and Gan.Both me and wong were quite busy with our own schedule.Wong so kesian,being a trainee o Gamuda need work like hell everyday in site,can become a civil engineer liao..hehe.

while my schedule of working 6days make me hard to find the offday,anyway i was lucky to get offday at sunday,yet i need to rush back from working at saturday 5pm and went to Kl to get the bus back Pg already 12midnite.

Wong before this already joined Komtar Run which he finished top 10 yet not satisfied with his results.And last week he joined kl Marathon which finish under 4hours.Looking at his recovery condition,i hope he can dip under 53min which done by Gan last year.

Sunday morning was a heavy downpour for the first time in so many years i joined this events.Walao eh so heavy till 3 of us,include my mum use the umbrella also getting wet!I dunno whether i can perform or not at this kind of condition but i'm sure that wong can perform well.Some more i saw ah beng,but luckily hes inside veteran category haha.

After all the race start exactly at 8am,and i ad get inside top3 after the starting which need us to run around 2km.I wasnt really discover wong at my back.Anyway till the climbing part i saw Tiger Chua and Wong at my back not far,Wow so fast,i just keep on moving.Yet still cant see Au yong at front.Through out the whole climb,i just keep on running.Finished in 2nd and i hope that Wong can finished within top3,yet he lost to Tiger Chua in mere 30secs.Anyway i'm really happy with his maiden performance in this race.Hopefully next time our kakithoner can come to challenge this hill.

Adidas All24

With the cancellation of KL Towwerthon IPT team event,our training team been unofficially "dibubarkan".What can i say of my early year preparation all in vain.Now starting my first job,so gonna be busy wholeday round,and i learn alot regarding site,not only that slope stabilisation and road maintenance been in my scope as well,can be said an almost complete true civil engineer except for the designing part.hehe!Next time u guys come up here seeing the nice road pavement as well as slope stabilisation,u can proud to say one of our kakithoner is the matermind behind all these,ha!(i think i'm too 'sombong' ler).

Then without any team preparation of this event,we all 6members just join.Zaheen family really support and bring both the borthers all the way from melaka to Bukit Kiara here.Thanks Gan for register for all of us and drive us to the race location.Thanks Moey family for being our bext supporter at that nite.

All our runners been randomly placed,so no choice.Initially i can say that the Selangor Junior team is very fast to us.We been lag behind abit.The 3rd team from Edan Adination.Then when come to half way,we still can see any improvement.when come to the end of last 1 hour,our team been successfully catch up the leading team and manage to overcross then to the final 4hours period!What a release!never think we can achieve such feat as our initial target is top 3 only.

Must really thanks Zaheen and Thaqif,u both really great.Not to forget Gan,Wong and Ting been trying so hard to match those selangor junior some more want come to complain our team...Haiz..seem like they are not satisfied after being cut over by our runner.I sincerely hope that such incident will not happen again.Fair play has always a priority inside our team.in the end,i hope evry1 will enjoy this valuable moment

Recent Races and happening

Seem like every1 is busy with their semester break.Let me update some of you guys current situation,do correct me if i making mistake here.Thanks

Among those taking their LI are Wong,Zaheen,Liting,Loh,Lai.I think Wong damn busy whole day ,and he is saying he seem like a construction worker in the site at Taiping there,ha!Loh also very busy at Shah Alam ; Ting may be is most "free " among those taking LI,hehe.Anyway i must say that no matter how hard you work,you must really take care of your health,make sure you take your breakfast before go 4 working,it is very important.Well...some of you may be finding hard time for the training,then you must plan you schedule wisely.May be a little 15mins of training will do(Dont look down at this short period actually can helps you!)

Busying with their own programme in UTM are Lim Kor,Gan,and Black.Actually i love those kind of lifestyle in UTM during sem break,coz no1 inside campus,you can really focus in your training programme(peace of mind)infact beofore this i hope to set up sem break training programme for all kakithoner,in the end....failed.If you want to become strong,there you are,this is very crucial period to shape up yourself.

Working life are me,Chan,Jiha,Hsiung,Yong Han,Mr Faraied,Ida.Chan and Hsiung will head to Singapore soon,you can either contact them through fb.Jiha seem like working happily in her new company,ha!Yong han our future survey firm BOSS!Very busy everyday he needs to go to site,working till almost 8,9pm(he is the last 1 inside company),kesian him...but he enjoys it ha!Ida teaching in N.Sembilan if i not mistaken.Mr Faraied now stay and work in JB,sometime come inside UTM training,hehe.I stay at Genting Highland,do come find me when you cross over here.

Oh yeah,Tareef is enjoying his holiday in Abu Dhabi.

Recent Race results:KL Towerthon:Wong 12th time of 16:09min hes imporved alot.me 14th 1 sec behind him,time dropped alot:-( ; Lim Kor frustrated with his timing anyway hope he will not give up.Ida and Loh in top 20,congratz to you all.

Malam Anugerah Sukan UTM 16 April

nothing much to say
just a normal dinner with some fancy award ceremony and shows
the food was great but only can add rice, haha
this year no more the much awaited lucky draw
not many kakithoners attended the function, only me, ong, gan, li ting, zaheen, ahmad, and tarif came
all the other kakithoners seem to be very busy, got final year project
nevermind, we will try organize another party to mark the end of this sem,
any suggestion?????
li ting was nominated to get the promising athlete award, but luck was no on her side, she loss to a national netball player,
hope one day, our athletic team can come out victorious in the event.

UTM MTB Quest

the race already passed sometimes, but this few weeks are extremely packed with exams and final project, hehe
until now my final project almost 7788 already, so can bring my road bike home, have a rest, and train for towerthon
the day before the race, it rained the whole night,
this cause delay for the race as the organizer want to make sure that the route is safe for all participant
there is a lot killer steep hill, so plenty of down hill and up hill,
after i tumbled several times, i started to push my bike downhill, luckily Black was there to offer some useful tips to push the bike.
never did i realize that utm itself got such a great trail route,
just around 40 minutes into the race, i already started to push my bike uphill
all the elite cyclists tackle the hill with ease.
there were 5 check points, and we need to collect all the stickers, the total distance is around 30k
a very thrilling experience but also quite dangerous if one do not have proper handling skills and a decent bike.
ong finished just slightly out of top ten around 2 hours, kar sing and chow followed closely behind.
i took 3 hours to finish the race.
thanks a lot yo teck meng and siang teck for taking wonderful pictures and wait for us to come back especially me, haha
overall this is very great event, the route is terrific, the signage are helpful and easy to see, plenty of water and the best part the lucky draw.
gan and ong managed to get some great prize from the lucky draw. anyone who wanted to buy mountain bike rim can contact gan,hehe
just glad can finish the race in one piece, hehe

UTM Night Run

Date: 1st April 2011

The organiser changed the distance to 4 X 2.3km loop instead of 6 loop for siswa and 3 instead of 4 for siswi at the very last minute.

Somehow it is still quite a long race.

All kakithoners joined the run except for chan and hsiung.

This time, there was free t-shirt for everyone and the best part was the free registeration .

Somehow, the race started quite late and the registeration for runners was quite chaotic, else this was a great event.

Is was a wonderful outcome as zaheen and li ting manage to win their respective category with impressive timing. congrat to them ,hehe

ha, for me this time, I started out slow but slowly built up my pace just like what i usually do.

finished the 9.2km race in 35.25 min. Still got a lot need to improve.

there is a new international student who pace with me all the way until the third lap, which make me quite anxious as i never saw this guy before, hope he can join us too

Kar Sing arrived in style few minutes after the international student arrived.

the highlight of the night is not the result of the run, it is the surprise party for our respectful captain ong wei xiang.

Kar Sing took all the hassle to ask the organiser to make an special arrangement to present a birthday cake to ong when he went up the podium, he also bersusah payah to buy a special cake and ask Jenni to bring it over, haha. thanks alot bro, we trully appreciate your effort

luckily the organiser was kind enough to help, they also play the birthday song, perfect la,hehe

this event bring back the unity spirit of kakithon, everyone was happy and this was the 1st time ong smiled a lot.

applaud should also be given to chau, even though he was limping, he still make it join the surprise party and we certainly pray and hope that he will recover from his injury soon.
