Where you STAND in Year 2008?

In 1 more week time,we will going to celebrate the year 2009.So i would like to know that where exactly you all have achieved so far in year 2008 events?Do you satisfied with your performance?Any weakness that need to adjust as to improve your performance?How you think that what kind of method can help you the most?Lets us look at the small picture of what had been we achieved so far.

In the early year 2008,we been in KL Towerthon which was a Team event.So theres 2 teams of us which got to the 2nd and 5th placing in university category.Looking at the top 20 guys that fininshed to the top tower there,their average time was around 14-15mins+,so you all knnow about your own time,so just take to compare it,whether you think that you had done enough to conquer the tower?I think suppose to be "NO"!The gap of time between you all with the top guy there still far away,but what we can do is to close up the gap,hence i hope that those fail to ahieve their main target of timing,stop a while during the race or what so ever....just make sure you wont repeat the mistake again in year 2009!

Then come the KL Marathon?I joined the 10km while other join the half and full.This race we beared our own cost to reach the destination.As i said this is international race,hence to achieve certain target will be good enough.You dont have to go inisde top 20 or whatso ever tough mission.Just try your best to get in a good placing then take it as your good exposure or experience to learn something else!I think Lim had improved a lot since he joined the race more than others.

What about month of May and April,infact we plan to join the sundown in Singapore.But didnt manage to do so.Quite dissapointed.....Then its the mid year holidays....till July

Back to uni,its been really really busy in the coming months of July,August till October!

July is where the MUDS(Malakoff University Duathlon Series) been held for 3 series till mid of August.I myself really worry about the bike as i cant get it till my friend,Kecik finally lend a hand to me.Thanks him a lot!We also form mixed team.This event is to run bike run.I know that my chance of winning wont really good as its been my first time involvement in this kind of race. With the advice from our Tuan Penasihat,Mr Black as he was former Johor Cyclist.I learn a lot from him about the cycling method.Thanks him a lot!I thinks Lim also learn a lot from him and Abang Mus,who is also former Johor Cyclist.We ride together not only can help fosfied our frienship but also to improve each other cycling skill.MUDS been really a worry for us,coz after the first series we suddenly become the leader in the university category which lead over UPNM,the strongest competitor among all universities!Then its been headache as for us to make sure we can maintain this position for the coming 2nd and final series.

So the 2nd series,some of our friends didnt joined coz of other programme commitment,hence our position slipped to third.Infact we are lucky in the last mins of the 3 series as to get the uni bus to travelled us to KL!If whithout the bus,life will become tougher for us to hang on!You know that bring along the bicycle with you from JB to KL is been really hard especially using the express bus.Yes,its not impossible,but its just so complicated.as the bus driver may not want to take the bike insisde it or ask for $$$$...Ha!

Come to the 3rd series also the final one..Suddenly most of the Kakithoners become "HOT" as they want to conquear as to fight till the end with UPNM.We knew that our mission of topping the Military Uni is very hard.But i really appreciate and thought by the courageous as to join the final series to fight till THE END!

Then come to the Adidas King of The Road.I think its orth for you all to travell to Shah Alam as this event also consider a "hot event" where the clothe that offer is quite good to cover back some of your $$..Myslef had nothing to lost but gain the Adizero back hehe!

Larian Keputeraan Johor is a race which had and early rain condition,whereby i afraid you all dont really used to it.Anyway it stop when the race started late around 10 mins.I hope that you all can also enjoy in a run which coer of raining condition.This will indirect to help you all in any condition.You cant just blame to the weather when you cant perform!

How about the Perhentian Island Challenge??Wow! this is an amazing race that you all shouldnt miss!Regard its as a holiday venue,the Terengganu Government had spent a lot as to make sure this event went smooth.The race?Tough..this is what i can describe for those beginner even the Novice category also consider tough!Experience it next year!

Then its our final semester exam...

Come to the KRI,whereby we had our most Kakithoners joined event together.Wong,Lim,Lee while Perak guy,Chan as host invite us to his home stay.Thanks him a lot.This race also let the kakithoners learn to run more than 10KM!You all always run around 5km....Now you all know about the painfull about the race which longer than usual ler ba!Hehe!Learn to run longer will have sloghtly advantage for you!Coz not every race which mention 10km is sure to be 10km!Some may exceed to 11km just like the 2nd link run!

Finally i hope you all can analyse your own condition regard to the races that joined whether your good side or bad side..just go for it..Dont stop in the half route!Coz you all are better than those normal guy....turst in yourself that you can do it!

Penang Bird Park Charity Run 2008

Today race as expected just a charity whereby i didnt aim much in it,because i know that the prizes wont be too good and i just joined for fun and leisure also to meet my running friends in Penang.My friend,Yap already registered for as early as before i back from UTM.1 more thing to mention is that this race is the closest to my home so far hehe!This place call Seberang Jaya around 3 km from my home.The Penang Bird Park has been less attract tourist to it place due to it poor management.Anyway i think with this event it will indirect help to the image of the bird park.So as early 6.30am we all had to registered near the bird park gate.Then i just saw all the familiar faces,those season winners.What made me surprise the most that even those Brooks running club from Ipoh also come!Wow!This is only a small event,yet they also want to come,must be no events at that place anymore haha!I lost badly to some of the guys from this group during the Ipoh KRI Run,they just so fast!In fact 1 of the guy can even catch up with R.Muniandi,our Malaysia distance running champion!I can estime there were around 500 people competing each other.Since Starwalk i only train twice,because my leg was bittem by kind of insect or Aedes,just dun know ler,my both Leg just "Gatal" non stop whole day and i scratch it till become red,really suffering....So i know that to do well also no and easy task.Anyway for the whole race i had a pacer,who is also my Penang friends BM Leopard very fast guy,Ah Koon.He also tall as Chan.So i just follow him the entire route because i know that to do well and achieve good placing i need to follow him tightly.He was in the veteran category,yet his speed really fast.Untill the last 100m i just try to run fast as to past him but didnt success.Anyway i thought that i had fininshed the race in 3rd placing in Men Open,because through the race i just saw yellow shirt guy in front of me and Ah Koon.But as mention by dad and some other friends that watch at the finishing line,they said there got another 3 guys at front of us which i totally cant believe because of some of the route is very straight untill around 1km but i never saw them!Anyway just leave it coz they are too fast for me,i even heart a guy said that the men open champion just use around 32mins to complete the race!Mine?i fininshed in 37mins 45 secs which he said this race is 10.1km,ya i also had kind of feeling its around 10km.Then we all were treated with free small pewter token and fininshing certificate.Free entrance to the Bird park.This organiser really generous,they were give up to 100 lucky draw prizes to us!Just think that there were around 500 people of us,so our chances of getting prizes is really bright haha!So the prizes giving i was in 4th ,the top 3 guys will get cash prizes of rm50 -Rm150.I just lost to the 3rd placing guy around 40 secs..geramnya...So the lucky draw prizes been started...and i was really lucky i got 1 set of plate and cup plus the tinted car Rm200 voucher..Hehe!Overall i paid for the entry fees RM12 and i get back more than that worth of goods...so no rugi la for me...See u all in UTM soon.....

Adidas Sundown Marathon 2009

With the event will be held at 30th May 2009,but........to make sure we pay less the registration already open!From december 2008 till 31st Jan 2009 is the early bird period.Hence here i would like to call upon those who really interest in this event to register early so as to save ur buck!This  event conclude of ultra marathon(84km),Marathon,Team event of which 4 person each need to run 10km.I would like to send a team to go there.So what you all waiting for???Get set and prepare for the challenge!I know that you guys and gals always have the problem with the financial this and there,so why not take this chance to register early and only once that we have a look at Singapore event and how good they organise a event compare to our Malaysia here.The fist impression already shown....REGISTER AS EARLY AS 5 MONTHS before the race event!What about Malaysia grand Marathon event in March = Am Bank KL Marathon?So far i still didnt hear anything about it yet,hence this is the first impression that give to us about the enthusiasm shown by the Singapore organiser!After coming from the semester break we need to make the decision quick as to register get fininsh all the problem that we face.

Penang Starwalk 2008

What a relieve finished my Starwalk 2008 yesterday,i knew that my condition now is been low,hence to be able to break into certain placing is quite impossible some more you all believe me or not,i just train for 2 times only regards this event!Suppose that i need to prepare it at least 2 weeks before the race but i didnt make it because my other events have disturb the process hence i have no choice but to hang on.Yesterday starwalk had attracted more than 14k people came to join and is the record for so many years the event been organised.Dad been back from Alor Setar,Kedah to travelled me there,PISA(Penang Internatonal Sport Arena)the place where badminton,swimming events organised frequently.7 am sharp the event started for competition category.For the first 1km,i can saw a lot of people trying to break away,how?They run and run.This is very dangerous because a lot of judges been around there to disqualified them!Sice last time i learnt from my mistake,i make it a point to finsh all the race by walking and make sure no knee bending.When i reach the 5km mark i already in 30mins,and i knew that my position to finish within top 3 had gone,but anyway just make sure i finish the race safe without any disqualified.I been overpass by the Women junior veteran champion,Serene Siah,i tried so hard to follow her just in around 10mins then i dont want to risk my leg posture anymore,i knew that if i still follow her,my chance to getting disqualified become higher(knee bending).Then for the last 5km mark i walk more carefully than before as i been told by friends before that the judges will be more strict to ctach those front walker.Finally i finished the race below 1 hour ,the time was 59mins 30secs which was 1 mins slower than my last year time.Dad been wait at the finishing line there and he told me got inside top 10 placing.I didnt care so much about it,as went on to change my clothes.There were a lot of entertainment been set up.Digi the main sponsor had contributed alot for the events.Other sponsor such as Milo,100 plus,Malta,Spritzer,Nestle,Suzuki,Air Asia,Panasonic and so on....I and dad went on to play the game by Digi.Then we went in the indoor stadium where the entertainment events will be held there,such as Lucky draw,prizes ceremony.The results been out and i got to know that i finish in 8th i cant ask for more about it.Thanks God that i manage to do well in this event.Then my friend,Yu Song who is a teacher finished in 6th ahead of me in Men Open.Another friends which was my last time Penang School Council team,Ho chun Wei had done very well by finishing in 2nd in Boys category,his time was well ahead mine of which 54mins+1 this that i hate the most is almost most of the organisers in Malaysia that i went to so far never have a proper way to distribute the prizes especially those not on stage prizes(top 3).This Starwalk also same.So many mens category,they only have 1 guy to distribute all these?So funny,Please la...dont you organiser dont have enough man power?Just make it every category 1 guy will be more than enough!Then i got the prizes which was some medicine,cosmetic,heal cream,counterpain,Digi rm50 reload and umbrella.What about the lucky draw?Last year i got a 30th placing Lucky draw of which i went to E&O Hotel with my mum 1 night,spa vouche and fan.This is bad nothing at all.Anyway from the Rm12 that i paid for the event i been get back more than it.No lost haha!I am looking forward the next year event.

I played the bowling game by Digi,9 spins down but spare also.You need to make it strike to get the small football.Results been out for Men Open,first is my friends too,he is former national walker Mahalingam's son.The prizes that i had won...The medal that i won in Penang round Island Relay of which i joined my friends team,BM Leopard finished in 4th place.

Swimming.....

Yesterday i went to the Seberang Jaya,Penang Public swimming pool with Lee.Since get into the KoQ Swimming class with En Azhar,i have learned a lot from him,Although now i only know the basic of breaststroke style and floating but at least i feel really satisfied with it,before this i really hate to swim,i scare of it and i dont think i can get to swim because i know that to learn it you have to pay for it.Yeah!Its true you have to pay and sacrifice for something that you dont get to it before!I took the chance provided by my Uni as to join KoQ this year.In fact most of my friends just got scared by swimming class,as they know that its been really hard to get A grade in it.But i dont care for it anymore,i know that we get to join it is to learn not to get the good grade as its not the main priority.Now i feel that i have make a wise decision by joining in it.I know that theres still far for me to go,and i need to strive hard to get the best in future.So what about you all?Get set and go for it now!Dont wait till old age,He!He!
